The vineyards of Château Cap de Faugères are cultivated in a natural way (HVE certified). The young wines are aged for 12 months in one and two year old French oak barriques. Mild herbal notes, black cherries and some dark chocolate in the bouquet, velvety tannins, aromatic and complex with a medium-long finish.
Château Cap Faugères is an independent estate with 20 hectares of vines and its own cellar. The vines border directly on the St. Emilion appellation, but Cap is located in Castillon. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive on calcareous soils, which is one of the reasons for the unique freshness of the Cap Faugères wines. The wines can be drunk young and offer a lot of drinking pleasure - at a very fair price.
