CLOS FLORIDÈNE blanc, Graves AOC 2019, 75cl

The Clos Floridène Blanc has the special character of white wines from great limestone soils: green-gold color, intense aroma with fruity notes of white peach, lemon, grapefruit, mineral nuances, roasted and toasted notes. Strong and fresh aromas of fruit in all their brilliance, density and structure of a great white wine. It is aged for nine months in oak barrels and can be stored for up to ten years.

The name and history of Château Clos Floridène is a combination of the two first names of its founders: Denis and Florence Dubourdieu. After purchasing several plots, the vineyard now covers 39 hectares, located on the best terroirs of Pujols-sur-Ciron, near Barsac. The soil of the Clos Floridène vineyard is only ploughed in the traditional way and is not treated with herbicides. A thin layer of clayey sand on a calcareous subsoil gives the grapes a rare freshness that is also reflected in the wines.
