Château Faugères consists of Merlot Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon. The entire harvest is carried out by hand. The first fermentation took place in wooden fermentation vats of various sizes so that even the smallest lots can be vinified separately. The wines are aged for around 14 months, 50% in new and one-year-old barriques. The style of Chateau Faugères is characterized by mineral components and a silky texture with perfectly polished tannins. A powerful, wonderful, soft St. Emilion with great potential.

The 42 hectares of vines of Château Faugères, the actual flagship of Vignobles Silvio Denz, are located east of the pretty town of St. Emilion. The barren soils are dominated by limestone, and are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. The cellar, created by the Swiss star architect Mario Botta, quickly became known and famous as the "cathedral of wine". Not only does it look good, but the conditions for winemaking are also ideal. Thanks to the consistent use of gravity, pumps are no longer needed. Temperature-controlled wooden vats are available for fermentation, and the wine is aged in French barriques. Michel Rolland, the oenologist at Château Faugères, has been on hand to advise since 1992 and ensures that this Grand Cru Classé has a consistently high and unique quality.
